Histological study of endoscopic biopsies from the lower gastrointestinal tract

Background: Endoscopy of the gastrointestinal tract is seen as an essential diagnostic tool because it can provide in-depth visual assessment mucosa and allows for tissue sampling. This study aims to find out histological diagnosis various tissues biopsied from lower GIT endoscopically. Materials methods: It a retrospective observational conducted in Department Pathology, Fewa City Hospital Research Center, Pokhara, Nepal March 2021 February 2022. Results: Total number samples taken into was 174. Nonspecific inflammation commonest lesion ileal, colon, rectal biopsies. Conclusions: Lower GI targeted wide range diseases, ranging inflammatory malignant entities. biopsy suspected lesions trusted approach investigating managing pathologies.
